心裡很難過
Today I received an email from the official Motorola chinese newsletter, which they are release the new Linux-based phone - A1600 MING 2
A successor of the Motorola MING A1200.

I’ve owned my A1200 for more than 2 years, and used it excessively. And I’ve got to say I like it. The chinese handwriting input is a nice touch. However the successor A1600, IMHO, just doesn’t live up to my expectation. Sure it has a speedier CPU and comes with a nice 3.2 Megapixel camera. But WTF, doesn’t support 3G? and no wifi? GPS over EDGE? Are you guys smoking crack? And still no word on the Exchange ActiveSync for corporate messaging. How are you planning to compete with other phones on the market at the same price range? For the whooping USD$400 ( RMB$3688 ) i rather get the new 3G iPhone, or the Blackberry Bold (9000)

慢慢的細嚼網路上大大小小flickr group
別人的旅遊日誌
別人的隨心拍
what makes them interesting
是別人分享的一種喜悅
一點一滴的生活態度
細微的觀察角度
最重要的是那對生活的一種寬容
那對生活的 appreciation
給人留下那 “啊! 活著真好!” 的印象
不管你拿著甚麼相機
Leica, Lomo, Holga, SX-70

Gosh, it’s been 4 months already since my last entry. I was asking myself the same friggin’ question… where the hell was I?
Time really flies by quick. I was and AM occupied with the endless task list at work. Work has been challenging but full of surprises: countless of oh-shit moment, compliment, sweat, more oh shit moment, a self promotion and most recently a bonus cheque! The engineer director is probably in love with me, because he now has a dirt cheap manual labor chinaman under his control
We had a meeting today at the Cisco campus, and that brings back memory. We were there mostly talked about the UC500 roadmap and where my company is planning to position ourself. Seems like currently I’m the only go-to guy right now for most of the Cisco deployment. Great!! oh wait that’s BAD
Anyhoo~
My trip to HK and Japan was short, way to short if you ask me. And i owe sweetpea an apology for being somewhat inconsiderate during the trip. (but damn it, i’m sure the feeling is mutual). But it was hella fun! It has definitely given me more reasons to go visit again.
Sweetpea please get off your lazy butt and send me your photos!!! I’ll probably upload my photo to flickr later on, if there’s ever time ![]()
This is one of the very successful recipes I’ve ever tried. It’s in a Japanese book that I own for years but never tried out any single one because of the intense instructions and explanations in Japanese. The recipe itself is a simple yet delicate and sophisticated one. It takes less than 20 minutes to make the batter, but it does require at least seven hours waiting time to allow the batter rest in room temperature. I started baking the almond lacy drops at 12:30 in the morning, and it’s so good that we can’t help having it right before sleep.
Let me introduce another my loved one–hana!

She had been too skinny during the first year after we brought her home, I used to be afraid she’s gonna be small like a kitten forever. But now, after another year’s happy days in her new home here, gosh, now, she’s officially
overweight! The vet said:’she’s a lovely little pig needs to be on diet and we’re aiming for 4!’ 4 refers to 4 kilograms, and that means Hana needs to shed almost 4 pounds off! Tough job for me! But we’re working on it, and hopefully the special diet could really help.
It’s my second attempt to make madeleine, I don’t know if I should blame it on the stupid silicon madeleine pan or whatever other reasons, but either way it’s the biggest failure in my baking history except the old story of my persimmon pudding…
The first failure is the combination of unbuttered madeleine cake pan and the orange flower water disaster, despite the fact that I ardor the fragrant smell of orange flower water, I would probably never utilize it in cooking again=( And the silicon mold lead the baked madeleine to pale shiny, plastic-like cookies instead of golden brown, slightly puffed elegant scalloped ones. (the silicon pan even collapsed during baking and the shape of the little cake’s gone crazy…![]()
The second failure today is better. This time, I buttered and floured the silicon mold as I would do a metal pan, although silicon pan doesn’t really require this kind of preparation. So the cakes came out browned better, but still, they don’t resemble the taste and the texture of the madeleine we always love from Wholefoods market in any single way.
I guess I wouldn’t do a third attempt till I get a traditional metal madeleine pan, which I know I couldn’t possibly get it anywhere in Hong Kong=((
I didn’t include any picture of my madeleine–they’re just darn ugly.
